Inheritance advances and estate advances are often used interchangeably.

An inheritance advance refers to a cash payment given directly to a beneficiary as a percentage of their future inheritance e.g. 50% of the overall inheritance.

An estate advance is made to executors of an estate to cover any estate expense, including inheritance tax.

For clarification, please speak to our team for more information.

For an Inheritance Advance, you can receive up to 50% of your future inheritance. So, if you are due to inherit £100,000 we can provide an advance of up to £50,000.

For an Estate Advance, you can receive up to 50% of the net value of the estate. So, if the value of the estate is £100,000 we can provide an advance of up to £50,000.

On receipt of the requested information, we can normally assess applications and provide a decision within a few days. Funds will be released on the same day that all loan documents are signed.

No, you are not required to provide any form of personal security. The decision to lend is based solely on the assets and liability in the estate.

The arrangement fee (which is simply added to the loan) is 1-2% of the loan amount. The interest rate is 1.5-2% per month for as long as the Advance is outstanding. Very importantly, we only charge simple interest, not compound. That means you are not paying interest on the interest.

Provided there has been no breach of the terms and conditions of the loan, if the value of the estate or the value of your inheritance changes and there are insufficient funds to repay the loan in full, you will not be required to pay the shortfall.
